More courage to make mistakes

Do you know how things get talked about before you’ve even started or “achieved” anything?

I often miss the courage to do something wrong. Instead, people discuss things, cultivate concerns, admire problems, look for things that speak against them anyway and so on.

𝗡𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻, 𝗙𝗲𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 (𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝘂̈𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗻), 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝗿. 𝗗𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗵𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗮̈𝘂𝗳𝗶𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗲 𝗘𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗻𝘁𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲, 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂̈𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻.

“German engineering was/is not just the art of planning and thinking everything through, but above all of building, developing and optimizing things and finding innovative solutions as a result. I hope that we will become more courageous again and consciously include mistakes in our projects – because that’s how we learn the most.

𝗜𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘇𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗯𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮̈𝘂𝗳𝗶𝗴 𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻/𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝘂̈𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗻 – 𝗷𝗮 𝗺𝘂̈𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻 – 𝘄𝗶𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻, 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗸𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗿𝘁, 𝘂𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘂𝘀𝘇𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻. 𝗜𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗙𝗲𝗵𝗹𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗹𝗮̈𝗴𝗲 𝘇𝘂 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻.

It is therefore a very effective option to instrumentalize research as “advance development” in order to subsequently advance industrial developments on the basis of these findings.
