Professor of Software Engineering and IT Management at the PFH Göttingen. Head of “AI and future technologies”
The connection between IT and law is one of the key areas for successful IT projects today. At SLW, we provide the highest level of expertise nationwide through publicly appointed IT experts and thus help to identify problems at an early stage, ensure quality and – if there is no other way – provide clarity in the event of a dispute.
At the PFH Göttingen, I am responsible for the Software Engineering department. With the Innovation Center for Digital Competence , we are building a bridge to companies in the region, providing research and knowledge transfer and supporting companies in staying fit for the future.
Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role, and not just in software engineering. The software development process in the company, the design of projects, the chosen software architectures, the use of certain infrastructures, technologies and components – sustainability ensures long-term investment security and projects that meet changing and growing requirements.
This requires that project objectives are clearly and honestly defined, that the employees involved are appropriately trained and sensitized, that process models and technologies are chosen that support sustainability and that projects are continuously reviewed and updated. The use of future-proof and innovative components plays just as central a role here as the targeted integration of existing systems.
